What is UGC NET Exam and its career options

  1. CBSE UGC NET Exam is held twice a year, usually in the months of June and December.
    The Exam is going to be conducted on 8th July 2018 whereas the applications would begin from 6th March
    It is the best gateway to make career in lectureship and Research after completing post graduation in Commerce, Arts or Humanities.

    The UGC NET Previous Papers is the best way to prepare for the NET Exam

    The NET Exam is being conducted in 3 papers.

    Paper I- This round is a General Aptitude test common for all candidates.

    Paper II - This paper will consist objective type questions related to the subject selected by the candidates.

    Each question will be of 2 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answer.

    There’s more to achieve. There are various career options, Job options available after Qualifying CSIR NET Exam. Today we will discuss some of the alternative career options after clearing CSIR NET exam? Watch the Video below or read out the points listed below :

    1.The first thing which everyone knows is You can go for Ph.D. in Indiain any scientific research institute/university alogn with a fellowship. Most of the Ph.D. Admission notifications by leading institutes of India are released in between February till August every year. Latest Ph.D. Admissions can be checked here.

    We will be releasing an article soon on How you can properly apply for Ph.D. at any institute after clearing CSIR.

    2. You can also opt for Ph.D. from abroad, you will not require your CSIR certificate but your CSIR NET qualification will come very handy. Many Scientists of Indian origin are working at a very high level in US, UK & European labs and they know how talented a CSIR NET qualified individual is. Thus here you get an additional leverage.

    3. In case you want to make a career in teaching, then You can also go for Lecturership in various private or government colleges and universities. Its one of the most common career option chosen by CSIR aspirants, but yes you need to have a passion for teaching and your concepts should be crystal clear.

    4. You can work in Private corporate firms in the fields of Biotech and Pharma, eg. Reliance, Loreal, Cipla, GSK, Dr. Reddy’s Lab, Syngene etc. There are a lot of startup companies booming up in the Biotech sector which hire freshers you can apply in any such firm as well.

    5. You can Also apply for JRF positions in various projects funded by CSIR/DBT/INSPIRE etc. Prestigious Institutes like DRDO, CSIR – CFTRI, IISER, NIPER, IICB, NIMAHNS post vacancies on a regular basis.
