What is the UGC NET Exam-Who can apply and Career scope ?

  1. UGC NET Exam is conducted for the candidates having interest in the lectureship program. If you are from the Arts Humanities or Commerce student and completed your masters or post-graduation, then you have a very good option to prepare for the UGC NET Exam. There are many jobs available in the Colleges and Universities of India completed masters and Qualified the UGC NET Exam.

    Eligibility for UGC NET Exam

    To appear in the National Eligibility Test there is no age limit. Yes, anyone can appear in the NET Exam. You need to complete master’s program in any of the prescribed subject. There are more than 80 subjects in the UGC NET Exam.

    You need at least 55 % marks in the Post-graduation to apply for UGC NET Exam (for Reserved category candidates the requirement is 50 % marks in post-graduation)

    Exam pattern

    The UGC NET Exam Is conducted in two phases- UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper 1 is the general Aptitude test whereas the UGC NET Paper 2 is conducted in Subject you have completed masters or applied for.

    The exam is Multiple Choice based whereas there is no negative marking in the exam.

    Career Scope

    If you clear the UGC NET Exam you can apply for the lectureship program in various Colleges and Universities of India whereas if you clear the JRF Cutoff you can get Scholarship of 25000 per month for studies and Research program
