    GMAT Practice Question-if s and t are positive integers such that s/t=64.12, which of the following could be the remainder when s is divided by t?

    A. 2

    B. 4

    C. 8

    D. 20

    E. 45

    Answer-It is a rational number questions where operations are involved. if you encounter these questions in a test, your best bet is to simplify using the mathematical rules and then solve it for each answer option.

    If we use long division model;

    now if we split 64.12 into integer and decimal, it will be 64+0.12

    using the equation above, you can simplify it to get remainder,

    Now if we test our options in the equation, we will find option E, i.e. 45 will fit into the question, it will yield an integer whereas other options will simply yield decimals.

    Therefore correct answer is E.

    Percent-What is the value of x?
