    In accounting profession, investment banking and corporate finance, financial modeling is similar to the financial statement forecasting. It actually involves a detailed preparation of company specific models that can be used for financial analysis and decision-making. Financial modeling requires huge spreadsheet works mostly in Microsoft Excel and in PowerPoint. A financial modeling program offers courses in corporate investment, risk management, economics and financial analysis. By doing these courses one can learn financial statement analysis, financial modeling and company valuation. Through different financial modeling courses, one can get exposed to various industry case studies and can get assistance by industry bankers.

    Four types of Certification courses in finance:

    1. One of the most important courses is the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) program. It is globally recognized by investors, employers and professionals. The program offers fundamental and practical knowledge of a variety of career in investment profession. The title of the CFA charter is only earned after completing the four years of qualified investment work experience.

    2. Second is the CFP (Certified Financial Planner), this certification is necessary if you are planning to work abroad especially British Columbia and Quebec. By doing this certification course, one will get a job of financial advisor, mutual fund advisor, financial planner, insurance manager, investment retirement planner, investment advisor.

    3. The third one is the FRM (Financial Risk Management) that is internationally recognized. The job is to manage market risk, non-market related financial risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, etc. Through this certificate one can gain knowledge in operational risk, credit risk, quantitative analysis, etc.
    4. The last and the fourth one is the CCP (Certified Credit Professional) that enables you to manage a credit department. After obtaining this certificate one can get a chance to work as a credit risk manager, credit specialist or analyst, claims manager, etc.

    The financial industry needs professionals with profound financial knowledge so that one can look after the clients. A financial certification shows the employers your dedication to the profession and that you are following strict ethical standards of the industry. All of these certification programs require work experience, self-study and examination and at the same time allows working full-time.
